Designer Pudsey Bear Auction TODAY!

Pudsey the bear has recently gone through a designer make-over in efforts to raise funds for BBC’s Children in Need!
The beloved yellow and red Pudsey has been redesigned this year in an array of different materials and fabrics from Swarovski crystals to white leather. Each Designer Pudsey is completely unique bringing couture to a whole new level. Fans of both the Bear and of the fashion world can embrace the opportunity to own a piece of what I think will be fashion history and also take a look into future trends of 2013.
Katie Grand (editor of one of my favourite magazine’s LOVE) was the source of this initiative which features designers from all over the globe to create their own couture bear. They were displayed in Selfridges but are now being auctioned online today at Christie’s!
So many wonderful designers got on board such as; Vivienne Westwood, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Donatella Versace, Prada, Alexander McQueen, Giles Deacon, Katie Hiller, Jonathan Saunders, Tom Ford, Gucci, Missoni, Victoria Beckham, Fendi, Vogue and that’s just to name a few!
My personal favourites is British Vogue’s design seen below.
Vogue’s fashion editor Francesca Burns stated earlier this month that “he is both a tribute to the legacy of iconic cover images created by legendary photographers and editors over the past 96 years, and to the talent, dedication and generosity of our friends.” Personally I think he is a wonderful legacy to the past issues and for the charity itself!
Another two of my favourites are Alexander McQueen’s adorable plush pink bear…
and of course the sparkling Giles Deacon creation who collaborated with Swarovski to create this gorgeous bear!
